Expanding The Lorenzo's Land

Jorge Lorenzo, former 250cc (now Moto2) World Champion, is now competing at MotoGP class with Factory Yamaha team. He is also Valentino Rossi's rival and teammate. Since his debut in MotoGP class in 2008 until GP Catalunya this year, Jorge Lorenzo has won 10 races.

Jorge Lorenzo has a unique way to celebrate his victory in every race. He usually brings a black flag with a logo of a circle around "X" mark. In the bottom of the flag there is a writing of "Lorenzo's Land".

He then stick the flag to the gravel area of the circuit, to illustrate "the conquests of Lorenzo" and shows that the track has become on of the "Lorenzo's Land".

Jorge Lorenzo, now 23-year-old, also launched his comic book with the same title, "Lorenzo's Land", with his native language, Spanish.

With the incident that happened to Valentino Rossi, made him absent for some races, Lorenzo was predicted will dominate this season of MotoGp. From the first 7 series being held, he won five of them, with consecutively for the last three races. I guess he still eager to conquer more area to become his land.

Michael Jordan New Ads with Hitler's Mustache

Although has been retired for several years, Michael Jordan still a popular brand to sale, and many products want to use him in their ads campaign. Recently Hanes launched a new men's underwear clothing, and used the former NBA superstar in their ads.

What started a little bit of controversy around Jordan's fans was his appearance on that ads, where he grew a mustache like Hitler's. They know that Jordan can't be a Hitler's admirer, but they just curious why he did such thing?

Some celebrities and former NBA players have a joke about this one.

Actor Jay Mohr wrote on her Twitter account to boycott Jordan's product until he get rid of his silly mustache. In Jimmy Kimmel Live, Aston Kutcher said that Jordan's mustache looks like the German's dictator, while Kimmel prefer to mentioned it looks like Charlie Chaplin.

While Michael Jordan ex-rival, Charles Barkley said that Jordan's appearance was stupid, because Jordan always became a trendsetter since his glory days as basketball legend. It was Jordan who popularized bald hair-cut in NBA, he also the one who started to using a long pants in the NBA.

After retirement, I guessed Jordan's fashion sense is kinda dull.

Senator Manny Pacquiao?

In May 10, boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao is running for a congressional seat in the province of Sarangani, Philippines, opposing 61-year-old Roy Chiongbian. Roy's late father, James, authored the 1992 law that created Sarangani province, and was their first congressperson, so Pacquiao's quest is not easy at all.

Pac Man has a unique reason regarding to his desire to become a senator, that is he doesn't want to fall poor again after he retired from boxing someday. He likes to help the less fortunate, but so far he is doing so by using his personal money. He worries someday he will spent all of his money that nothing left anymore for himself.

Manny Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, arrived in Philippines last Wednesday to support his favorite boxer. He's rooting for a Manny win, he says, but whatever way the vote goes, Arum will be ready with plan.

Arum still expects Pacquiao to fight on, even if he wins the election. As Arum said so famously after the Joshua Clottey's fight, Pacquiao's election shouldn't be the slightest interruption to his boxing, because "he would do the same thing congressmen in the United States do. Nothing."

Allison Stokke Unwanted Popularity

Sometimes, becoming an athlete is quite similar like becoming an actress or celebrity. You'll get fame and popularity like a superstar. Too bad, not every athlete wants this kind of popularity. Allison Stokke for example, she used to be just a usual teenager who's having a dream to become a professional pole vaulter. But, ever since her training photo leaked on the internet in 2007, Allison Stokke became the target for every perverts in the web world.

Allison Stokke, born March 22, 1989, was still 17 years old when her photograph was taken during a high school track meet, where she was preparing to compete in the pole vault, and someone posted it to a web site.

"Even if none of it is illegal, it just all feels really demeaning," Allison Stokke said. "I worked so hard for pole vaulting and all this other stuff, and it's almost like that doesn't matter. Nobody sees that. Nobody really sees me."

Allison Stokke isn't just a pretty girl; she's a pretty girl who happens to be a tremendous athlete. She was the California pole vaulting champion and is on scholarship at the University of California. She wanted to be known for her athletic accomplishments rather than purely for her looks.

At age 15, Allison Stokke won a California state championship, and broke several national records in her age division. As a senior at Newport Harbor High School, she set the second best mark in the nation for that calender year with a 13'7" vault. In the CIF State Championship finals she finished 4th after a leg injury interfered with her ability to sprint down the runway. After being highly recruited, Stokke now vaults for the University of California at Berkeley.
